Lilac Committee contribute to C4K cause!

Goulburn Lilac Committee President, Carol James, braved the chilly winter weather on Monday 31^st July 2023, to gift Convoy For Kids Goulburn, the funds so generously raised by the 2022 Lilac Queen, Felicity Apps.

The Goulburn Lilac City Festival is Australia’s longest continuously-run community festival. It was established in 1951 and seeks to involve as many businesses and residents of the community as possible. The candidates for Lilac Queen choose a charity close to their heart and spend the many months leading up to the October long-week raising money on behalf of this charity.

C4K Goulburn was graciously selected by Mrs Apps as her charity because of a family connection to the cause.

Mrs Apps raised more than $6500 for the Lilac Committee, with $1676.56 awarded to C4K.

C4K committee member, Shantelle Ramadge, accepted the cheque on behalf of the committee.  

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Mrs Apps and the Lilac Committee for their donation.

When the committee meets this month, we will be discussing ideas of where this money would be best spent. Along with the ongoing support offered to local children and their families, contributing to a play area for the new Paediatric Ward is currently our focus.

Without the support we receive from the community, our ongoing initiatives would not be possible.
