What We Fund

The principal objective of the Convoy is to provide support for local children with cancer, terminal illness and permanent disabilities, by providing financial assistance to the families of such children with special needs.

Need Assistance?

Support can be provided in the following ways:

  • TransportAssistance for families who need to travel to Sydney, Canberra (or other centres) for essential medical treatment.
  • AccommodationAssistance towards cost of accommodation (Ronald McDonald House, motel etc.) when those essential medical Treatments require overnight stays.
  • Medical EquipmentAssistance with the costs to purchase of equipment as is relevant to each child’s specific needs.
  • ClothingUp to $250 per year for clothing for the child in need.
  • Chemist BillsUp to 50% of chemist bills relative to the child’s needs.

Criteria

Initial phone contact can be made by calling 1300 663 669

  • The child must reside within a 50km radius of Goulburn, with the exception of special cases at the discretion of the committee.

  • Support for the nominated child will cease once the child is 18 years old.

  • There is a limit of $3000 per client per year.

  • The nominated child must have a letter of confirmation from their GP and specialist.

If you wish to be considered for assistance you should complete the application/release form.

All individual arrangements for assistance will be committed for 1 year at a time, and will be reviewed annually.
